Lilies to name new boss

CHATTERIS Town are hoping to appoint a new manager by the end of the week.

Chairman Steve Bright is to interview the candidate later this week and said: “We were approached by someone who has very good credentials to take the job.

“We are keen to appoint a new manager as soon as possible so the players know what is going on and to stop other clubs coming in for our players.”

Doddington manager Steve Bedford, who was also a possible candidate to take over from caretaker boss Julian Young, has ruled himself out of the reckoning.

The Lilies play their final game of the season against Brampton on Saturday at West Street.
