March Town United Ladies Football Team had their first training session at the Neale-Wade on Sunday.

In sweltering conditions, 15 players attended to get put through their paces by coach Gary Davis and Teilo Pearce.

The session consisted of two exercises, followed by a 7-a-side match.

Davis said: “It was an excellent turn out and all players gave 100 per cent in blistering conditions.

“As it was our first training session together, the players were pretty quiet to start with, but the exercises improved communication (and the banter).

“Considering some of the players have not been near a football for a long time, there was some excellent play during the match and it looks very promising for the coming season.”

March Town Ladies are in the S Tech North League for season 2013-14 and currently running ‘taster’ sessions over the next five weeks for players of all standards.

Cost is £3 per session and anyone interested in attending should contact Gary on 07824337771 for more information.
