Park suffer shock loss

Both teams created chances with Saints taking the lead after some good passing and Emily Cooper finishing off the move with a well taken strike.

Woottons equalised deep into stoppage time in the first half.

After the break Saints regained the lead with a Cooper shot from distance. Then Woottons pulled a goal back and with only minutes to play scored the winner.

Perfect conditions saw two teams play some excellent football. Park put in 100 per cent effort with new keeper Laura Garner having an excellent game.

Carrigan Asher (pom) had her best defensive game of the year.

Park had a shock defeat despite Emma Searle scoring a wonder goal, taking on two defenders before lobbing the keeper.

Leading 1-0, Park missed many chances and were hit with two sucker punch goals. Fern Paterson played superb in centre midfield.

Hungate Rovers 0,

Deeping Diamonds 2

This top of the table match opened with some great passing moves from both teams.

Hungate keeper Read made some great saves which denied the visitors on several occasions, but Deeping took the lead shortly before the break.

Hungate took the game to Deeping with shots from Bennington and Ratcliffe who were unable to equalise. Deeping increased the lead with 10 minutes to go.
