MARCH Town have signed Lewis Cook who skippered Wisbech Town’s reserve side last season.
The central defender spent a season with March two years ago under Jamie Weston but returned to Wisbech at the start of last season.
March manager Brett Whaley said: “Lewis signed on Thursday night and I think he will be a very good signing for us.
“He has impressed me in the way he has gone about his training and his attitude is very good too.
“He can play in a central role or at full back so it helps to give us more options in defence too.”
March have also signed former Deeping Sports and Raunds left winger James McDonagh and Whaley added: “He is something different to what we already have. He likes to take full backs on and when I was at Ramsey he ripped us apart in one game. He can also play left back too.”
Whaley was also able to report that all the players training with the club have signed and added: “I am quite happy with the squad we have got at the moment.
“I did speak to Denny Escorcio but he is training with Soham Town so we will see how that goes.
“We have two tough friendles against Blackstones on Saturday and then Wisbech next Tuesday so they will test our fitness.
“But the players are really looking forward to getting out on the pitch.”
