Saints take cup tumble

Tydd St Mary lost out to higher league opposition Spalding Harriers 4-1 in the Challenge Cup.

Harriers took the lead after just a minute but Tydd got their act together and had chances.

The second half started very much like the first and it was not long before Harriers were 3-0 ahead. Mark Greenacre pulled a goal back after some great work by Tim Lowe. Harriers added a fourth goal in the last 10 minutes.

Crown progressed to the semi finals of the North Cambs Cup with a 9-0 win over Fenland Police. Ben Jimson scored four goals, Darren Rawthorn hit a brace and Ricky Mason, Joe Woods and Connor Young and grabbed a goal each.
