A Long Sutton player has entered a football competition to win a professional contract.
Winger Silva moved to the UK from Portugal hoping his multi-national football skills will help him.
Silva (17) of Long Sutton, has entered Samsung’s Win A Pro Contract competition in the hope of signing for either Swindon Town, Leyton Orient or Wycombe Wanderers.
Silva, who came to the UK eight years ago, said: “I started playing football aged six in Portugal. When I was nine, my parents moved home and my football had to start all over again.
“I played for Wisbech Town Acorns in the Peterborough Youth League before moving to Holbeach.”
