Six of the best as unbeaten Manea soar to the summit

Manea United dispatched St Ives Town Res 7-0 to make it six Cambs League wins out of six at the summit of Division 2B.

March Rangers won at basement side The Vine 3-0 thanks to goals from Thomas Denston, Vincent Edwards and Charlie Hall.

Premier side Chatteris lost 3-0 to Over Sports in the Cliff Bullen Cup.

Lilies boss Steve Taylor added: “We’re slowly getting players back from injury. In the first half we were sloppy.

“We went behind early on and another mistake led to another goal before half-time.

“We didn’t close down a throw-in quickly enough which is basic stuff.

“For 35 minutes in the second half we were the better side but didn’t take our chances. They killed us off at the end.

“The league is the one that matters. We’ve got a tough game coming up at Fulbourn, who are top or second.”

In Senior A Wisbech St Mary went down 4-3 at Soham United and this result loses them top spot to Debden, who beat Soham Town Rangers Res 3-1.

Mid-table Wimblington drew 4-4 with Milton, while Wisbech Town Reserves lost 3-0 at Hemingfords United to go second from bottom.

In Senior B James Parker was on target as Outwell Swifts lost 4-1 to visiting high-flyers West Wratting Res.

In Division 1B Chatteris Town Res went down 7-0 at second placed Earith United, while March Town Reserves lost 3-0 at home to leaders Littleport Res.

Tydd United imploded in extra time in the Creake Charity Shield at Huntingdon United RGE, losing 10-3 after it ended 3-3 in normal time. Doddington United went out 6-1 at home to Sutton United, while Wisbech St Mary Res were edged out at Milton Res 2-1, Thomas Diggines replying.

Wisbech St Mary A are second in Division 3B after triumphing at Exning Athletic 3-1. Alex Wiles and Martin Wright 2 were on the scoresheet. Estover Park lost by a solitary strike to visitors Hemingfords United A.

Park were disappointed to lose after they had the running in the first half and had a disallowed goal from Steve Johnson.

Bottom side Wimblington Res went to top side Bar Hill Sports & Social and lost 7-0.

Benwick Athletic go second in Division 4B after a 3-1 defeat of Wisbech St Mary B, who had Andrew Barry sent off for receiving two bookings.

Athletic scorers were Aiden Rouse 2 and substitute Dayne Moore, while Jake McClagish replied. A 3-1 victory for Chatteris Town A at Milton A was earned via a Jason Hennessey brace and Dean Saunders.

In Division 5D Chris Baker and Samuel Chapman were on target for second spot March Rangers Res in a 3-1 victory over Walsoken United.

Goals from Northend’s Jake Beecham and Billy Ryan meant they edged out by 2-1 Upwell Town, for whom Reece Hennessey scored.

Coldham United creating several chances but failed to find the net as they picked up three yellow cards in a 2-0 home loss to Doddington United Res, who scored two late goals, Chatteris Fen Tigers defeated Wimblington A 3-2, Manea United Res lost 2-0 at leaders Mepal Sports Reserves, while Estover Park Res won 5-3 at Wisbech St Mary C.
