Wisbech Town made it six wins in a row in all competitions on Saturday in the ChromaSport & Trophies UCL Premier.

Billy Smith got the Fenmen off to a perfect start with a goal in the first minute.

In the second half goals came from a Smith free-kick (62) and Danny Beaumont (74). Jake Newman scored a late penalty for the Doughboys.

Manager Dick Creasey said: “Billy is on top of his game at the minute.

“He is a difficult winger who has got a lot in his locker. If he’s on form, he’s unplayable.

“We weren’t at the top of our game but we had enough to win it at a canter.”

l Wisbech Town made it through in the Cambs Invitation Cup on Tuesday 3-2 at home to Sawston thanks to two goals from Josh Ford and one from Danny Beaumont.
