Fenmen striker Toby Ogbonna looks set to make his debut for neighbours March Town against Debenham at the GER on Saturday.

Toby, whose older brother Dubi is Wisbech’s leading scorer, is joining the Hares on loan to give him some valuable pitch time.

Wisbech boss Steve Appleby said: “Toby is still a bit raw and needs some full games and hopefully he will get that at March and help them too before returning to us.”

Toby scored twice for Wisbech against March in the 4-1 win in the Red Insure Cup back in September, but has not made the Wisbech squad in their last two games.

March boss Paul Crosbie said: “If the paperwork can be sorted in time Toby will be in the squad on Saturday.”

Crosbie will be looking to end a run of five successive Thurlow Nunn League defeats and is sure to give a starting place to returning skipper Luke Pepper, but Ash Brand is unavailable.

Marc Hipwell also has work commitments and Ben Collett will continue to play in goal.

Midfielder Lewis Thompson will not be playing again this season after surgery on his knee revealed problems with his cruciate ligament and he may now have to have his knee rebuilt.
