Town have exciting plans

Chatteris Town is hosting a number of events at their grounds in West Street in the closed season, the first of which has taken place this Sunday.

There was a charity football match between a Chatteris Town XI and a MacMillan XI with all proceeds going to the MacMillan cancer support.

The bar and the kitchen were open and there was also a craft fair, bouncy castle, other children’s entertainment and some football related games, from noon onwards.

The match itself kicked off at 3pm and was won by the Chatteris Town team.

Other events in the pipeline are Sunday, June 15: Honour Walk. Friday, June 27: quiz night at clubhouse. Saturday, July 5: morning 9am-noon car boot sale. Sunday, July 6: dog show.

The club’s AGM is to be held on Wednesday, June 18 at 7pm in the clubhouse at West Street.
