MARCH Town boss Brett Whaley is hoping the board can make funds available so his players are not out of pocket playing for the club.
Whaley has spoken to his players in the last week about committing for next season but admitted: “Until I know what the budget is it is difficult to make them offers.
“I am desperate to keep this group of players together after a very good season and get some continuity. I just do not feel it is right that they should be out of pocket playing for the club otherwise we could be losing players to the Peterborough League.
“The board have very good to me and provided everything I have needed so far. I know money is tight but perhaps we can look at ways of raising funds to reward the players.”
Whaley has already arranged one pre-season friendly already and that will be a local derby against March Town at the GER on July 14.
