Guyhirn cue champion Andy Lucas picked up his third pool title in two weeks.

The four times world champion travelled to Milton Keynes to compete in the fourth Southern Blackball pool tour. He progressed to the final from a field of 64 players.

The final was against England team mate Toby Bolt where again Andy had a convincing 7-2 win to secure his second tour and become number one in the rankings.

He said: "I'm playing with a lot of confidence at the moment and the results keep coming. It's been a great year so far and I'm looking forward to the rest of the season."

This event followed the first event of the EBPF tours which are scheduled all over the country throughout the year. The senior tour saw Lucas only drop a handful of frames and comfortably beating Lee Rossiter in the final.

He also competed in the men's tour and had a couple of close encounters, winning 6-5 in the quarter-final and the final versus fellow professional and England teammate Jimmy Carney which went to a deciding frame at 5-5.

A mistake by Carney on his last ball gave Lucas a chance which he took, clearing the table to win his second title of the day.

The English Open is the next title Andy has his sights set on.

A big thank you to sponsor Webb's of Leverington for their continued support.

Lucas has a few weeks off, and it all starts again. He has his sights set on a fifth world title in November.
