LSHC Men 3

Norwich City 6

Sutton started positively, moving the ball comfortably from back to front and side to side, the league return of Jimmy Harrison to the midfield aiding this, but Sutton were unable to capitalise.

Josh Fyson set up Dan Batten at 2-1, but Norwich at half-time went into a 4-1 lead.

Danny Sisson scored twice. Unfortunately for Sutton, the Norwich keeper was in inspired form. Sutton need to take the positives against good opposition into next weekend against Ipswich.

Spalding 4ths 0 LSHC 3rd 3

Hales netted twice in the first half, then Lovegrove opened his account for the season in the Thirds’ first win of the season.

MoM: Saponenko.

Leadenham 2nds 7

LSHC 4th 2

Within the first two minutes Tyler Hagan scored.

Leadenham scored three quick goals, then Baker scored from a mass scramble in the D.

Sutton Fourths pressed but left themselves open to the counter-attack, conceding more goals. Thanks to Simon Knight who answered a last minute call to make the numbers up to 11.

Man of the match: young keeper Brad Whitmore.

Lynn Pelicans 3

LSHC Ladies 2

Fantastic Long Sutton put pressure on the defence but went into the break 2-0 down.

Louise Southgate worked tirelessly and the pace of Emma Howell (who LSHC lose to Durham Uni) and Louise Billingham caused all kinds of issues for the defence.

Goals: Lyn Tancred and Leanne Woodhead, but Pelicans took all three points near the end.
