March Town draw at Lutterworth Town while Wisbech Town are beaten by Eastwood CFC and Parson Drove lose at Stanway Pegasus

March Town were the only Fenland side to pick up a point on the road this afternoon as the Hares ended a dramatic week off the field by picking up a 2-2 draw at Lutterworth Town.

But there was no joy on their travels for Wisbech Town after a 3-0 defeat at Eastwood CFC while Parson Drove's unbeaten start on the road was ended by a 3-1 loss at Stanway Pegasus.

New assistant boss Simon Roberts took his place in the dugout for March Town for their clash in the United Counties League Premier Division South in a week that saw manager Ash Taylor step down before reversing his decision a few days later.

Jack Withers scored March Town's first goal in a 2-2 draw at Lutterworth Town this afternoon.

Lutterworth Town were twice in front against Taylor's side who displayed all of their battling qualities to return home with a point.

A goal in the second minute for the Swifts was cancelled out by Jack Withers before the home side regained the lead in the 43rd minute.

But Dan Cotton levelled matters for a second time nine minutes after the restart to ensure the Hares went home with a share of the spoils.

March Town are fourth in the latest league standings ahead of their home game against St Neots on Tuesday night.

Nex Saturday, the Hares are in home action again when they face Mulbarton Wanderers in the FA Vase.

March Town: Gill, Green, Brumby, Withers (Williams), Emmington, Burrows, Cotton, Tait, Gillies, Foy, Tsagium. Subs not used: Biggs and Pepper.

Wisbech Town are still without a win after nine attempts in the UCL Premier Division North as their difficult start to the season continued at second-placed Eastwood CFC.

After a goalless first half, the deadlock was broken in the opening minute of the second half and, as so often this season, Luke Hipwell's side conceded further goals in quick succession as the hosts made it 2-0 in the 57th minute and added a third six minutes later.

The Fenmen now have two games in the space of the week with Sleaford the visitors to Fountain Fresh Park on Tuesday night before Gresley Rovers are the visitors on Saturday.

Wisbech Town: Lakin, Wilson, Balding, Braham, Mattless (Zaluzinskis), Freeman, Williams, Harris, Foster, Allen (Cavozzi), Ward (Foster).

Parson Drove had won all four of their away games in the Thurlow Nunn First Division North going into this afternoon's league game at Stanway Pegasus.

But that record was ended despite Byron Adiado equalising an early goal for the host outfit who regained their lead before the interval and extended it further ten minutes from the end.

Parson Drove are without a game next weekend.
