March Town hit Yaxley for six as they continue their defence of the Hinchingbrooke Cup in style

Manager Ash Taylor got the response he was looking for as his March Town side cruised past Yaxley in the Hinchingbrooke Cup last night.

Taylor was unhappy with his side's showing in the 2-2 home league draw against Northampton Sileby Rangers at the weekend but there was no sign of complacency against the Cuckoos in a 6-1 win.

There were six different scorers at the GER as the Hares made it 14 goals in the opening two rounds of the competition which they won last season.

Matty Foy was one of six different scorers for March Town in a 6-1 win against Yaxley in the Hinchingbrooke Cup last night.

Luis Cowie, Andre Williams and Danny Emmington put March 3-0 up before a Yaxley reply made it 3-1 to Taylor's side going into the interval.

The Hares refused to take their foot off the gas and added further goals through Dan Cotton, Craig Gillies and Matty Foy in the second half.

On Saturday, March Town are back in home action when they entertain GNG Oadby Town in the UCL Premier Division South.

March Town: Gill, Green, Brumby, Withers, Emmington (Burrows), Foy, Cotton, Saunders, Williams (Gillies), Biggs (Callaghan), Cowie (Carolan).
