March Town look to strengthen play-off position while Wisbech Town hope to strengthen safety bid
With ten league games remaining, March Town won’t be winning the United Counties League Premier South this season but will cement their strong shout for a play-off position with another win tomorrow.
The fourth-place Hares are four points clear in the play-off positions going into their game at 12th-place Northampton Sileby Rangers, but 17 points behind leaders St Neots Town FC who they beat in the semi-final of the Hinchingbrooke Cup on Tuesday night.
Over in the United Counties League Premier North, 16th-place Wisbech Town will be looking to bounce back from last Saturday’s 5-0 drubbing at Boston Town when they entertain seventh-place Belper United.
The Fenmen are eight points clear of the drop zone with eight games remaining but have played a couple of games more than most teams below them.
In the Thurlow Nunn First Division North, tenth-place Parson Drove travel to play 13th-place Whitton United. Drove will be looking to register their first win of 2025 after going seven games without collecting three points.
Whittlesey Athletic, whose fine recent run included a 1-0 win at Wivenhoe Town last weekend, are without a game but look safe as they are now 12 points from safety with eight games left.
