March Town joint boss announces his departure from United Counties League Premier Division South side
Seb Hayes has announced his departure as joint boss of March Town United.
Hayes took to X a short while ago to inform people of his decision to leave the United Counties League Premier Division South side.
His post read: "Thank you so much to the directors, fans, all the players, management team and especially Ash. I’ve had a brilliant year at March Town but I've decided to move on.
"Looking forward to the next management/coaching opportunity that may arise."
The news comes as a real body blow to the Hares who are currently sitting fourth in the league standings and chasing promotion after beating league leaders Wellingborough Town 1-0 last weekend.
Former Wisbech Town boss Hayes joined the March coaching staff in February of last year before being appointed joint boss of the Hares with Ash Taylor in a new-look coaching structure over the summer.
Hayes has also managed the likes of Huntingdon Town, Holbeach United and Oundle Town during his time in the dugout.
The Hares saw their scheduled league game at Bugbrooke St.Michaels postponed early this morning due to a waterlogged pitch.
Next up for March is another crucial home game against second-placed Racing Club Warwick next Saturday.
