Justin first home in spud run

March Athletics Club held their annual spud run, comprising of a five mile race and a 1.5 mile fun run.

Justin Elvidge was first home in the five-mile race with a time of 32 minutes 52 seconds.

The first lady for the club was Geraldine Larham who also scooped the first vet 45 prize.

March AC Juniors were out in force in the 1.5 mile fun run and leading them home was Ben Goude who came first, followed by Brandon Pearce in second.

March AC entered a relay team of Pauline Boyd (swim 49mins), Mick Stacey (bike 2hrs 36mins) and Tim Boyd (run 1hr 52mins) into the inaugural Half Ironman event at Holkham.

The event covered the distances of a 1.2 mile swim, a 56-mile bike ride and a 13.1 half marathon.

On a glorious sunny day, the team came home in 5hrs 20mins, finishing 16th in their category.
