England’s Hope were looking to reach a further final appearance in addition to the League Cup final, but it was never going to be an easy task against newly-crowned Division One champions, CSKA.

Despite CSKA Reserves having an added incentive to win this game in the hope of meeting their first team in a final, the Cottage prevailed to reach their second cup final.

In a close and hard-fought game, goals scored by Dan Short and Ajay Jolly secured a 1-2 win for the away team.

In a winner-takes-all encounter, it was a tense first half with few chances at both ends and numerous errors across the pitch from both teams.

With Southery ASA waiting in the wings to snatch the league title in the event of a draw, it was looking to be a definite possibility, until Shouldham scored, one minute before half-time.

The second half began with an Ingoldisthorpe chance, but Shouldham began to pass the ball around and took control of the game.

Shouldham took their chances well and added to the scoreline at regular intervals via Jo Malby , Martyn Williams, John Murphy and Dan Murphy after a strong championship-winning performance.

Ingoldisthorpe were unable to create chances.
