Adele Munday and Naomi McGarvie went close but Histon doubled their lead on 35 minutes when a scramble just crossed the line.

Within 11 minutes of the second half, the Hares were 3-2 in the lead. A good Abby Grist cross was bundled over the line by birthday girl Eleanor McLeish, then a McLeish corner was hammered home by Josie Turner. Turner was upended in the area and Searle dispatched the penalty. On 70 minutes, a quick Sydney Davis throw-in led to a smart move by player of the match Turner, who hit the goal of the game into the top corner.

Histon’s response was immediate and they scored soon after. The Hares saw out the remainder of the game.
