Leed-ing Wisbech Samurai Karate School kids haul medals

Thirteen students from Samurai Karate School aged 6 to 16 came away with an incredible 14 medals from the WTKO national children’s competition held in Leeds, including five golds , five silver and four bronze.

There were some super performances particularly from the nine students who were entering a competition for the first time.

Six year old Ola Mylneck won a gold in her sparring and Lexie Klibanecz, aged 9, won double gold in kata and kumite. The whole squad received great praise from WTKO organisers for their competitive spirit and their excellent behaviour .

SKS continue their progress this weekend by hosting the first ever Senior ranked Japanese instructor from the JKS to teach at the dojo. Sensei Kitagawa 6th Dan will be here tomorrow (Saturday 21) in a historic visit.
