Three Counties Running Club's Harrison also shines at Stamford
It has been a very hot and busy week travelling the country and abroad for Three Counties Running Club.
Three members travelled to Stamford to take part in the Grand Prix 5k Series on Wednesday evening.
Morgan Harrison was the first club runner home in a fantastic time of 20:48, followed by first female club runner Dawn Ball in another great time of 26:22 and then Fay Gratton getting her sub 30, finishing in 29:24.
Sixteen-year-old club runner Morgan Harrison also had a fantastic Parkrun at Boston, finishing 2nd overall, 2nd male and 1st in age in a fantastic time of 19:54.
Alice Ingman travelled to Florida to participate in the Clermont Parkrun in high temperatures of 82.
Alice still managed to finish in a great time of 27:45.
A few members travelled to Whitby to tackle the Whitby to Pickering steam railway trail which is a route of about 27 miles, depending on how good your map reading skills are!
The very hilly and hard terrain wasn’t easy going but all members survived to celebrate with some famous Whitby fish and chips at the end and a steam railway trip. The route cut across the railway line at various stages, travelling through the village where the ITV series Heartbeat was filmed and also one station being from the Harry Potter film.
Junior Parkrun had another good attendance of 40 runners on a warm Sunday morning with first club runner home in 6th place Maisie Macdonald in 9:27, followed by Casey Grange in 11:38 and Stephanie Harbord with a PB 11:48.
Other Parkrun results, March: Mark Mattless 23:15, Rebekah Clough 32:20 (junior), Sarah Clough 37:19 (junior).
