At the 66th Annual Championships of the Wisbech Table Tennis League held on Saturday, Ray Hill, the president of the Wisbech Lions presented Peter Munch, treasurer of the league, with a cheque for £250.

This will be used towards promoting the sport in the Summer for new young players as well as older players who perhaps once played but are not sure as to their standard.

These funds will go towards purchasing equipment and it is hoped that eventually the league will be able to establish a Junior League in the not too distant future.

Anyone who is interested is welcome to come to the dedicated Table Tennis Centre at Pinnacle House, Nene Parade, Wisbech, PE13 3BY on any Thursday night from 7pm to 9pm where you can start practising and see if you want to take up the sport.
