Lou rides season’s best at Wisbech 10-miler

It was raining at the start line but the rest of the course was completely dry for the Wisbech Wheelers Tuesday evening 10 miler and conditions were faster than expected.

Triathlete, Mat McClure, was the only rider inside 22 mins, followed by Stuart Emmett of Performance Coaching and third man home Rob Elbury. Becky Murley was the fastest lady.

On Saturday the Wisbech vets were out in force at the Team Cambridge Open ‘10’ where 69-year-old Roger Sewell continues to impress in windy conditions and ride of the week goes to lady vet, Lou Campion who managed a season’s best.

Results, Tue 12 Jul, 10 miles: Ladies (all vets) – B Murley 26.58, L Campion (50+) 28.21, D Hallahan (60+) 33.08. Men - M McClure 21.56, S Emmett (P Coach) 22.46, R Elbury 24.08, D McClure 24.33, A Whiting (P Coach)(vet 50+) 25.00, P Baldwin (vet 60+) 25.31, T Bye (vet 60+) 26.35, J Brown (vet 70+) 27.04. Team – (both Juniors) T Fougo & W Day 23.01.

Wed 13 July, KLCC ‘10’ – Both vets (60+) P Baldwin 25.12, R Parker 28.55.

Saturday, Team Cambridge Open ‘10’: (All vets) Ladies – L Campion (50+) 27.41, D Hallahan (60+) 30.57. Men - R Sewell (Hounslow & Dist) (60+) 23.21, A Whiting (50+) 23.35, J Brown (70+) 25.55, T Bye (60+) 26.05.
