Maiden Tucker ton as March and Wisbech triumph
Wisbech Town CC are thriving under new captain Sam Rippington, recording their third Cambs Tucker League Division One success in a row.
They condemned Nassington to their fourth defeat in succession at Harecroft Road on Saturday.
Nassington reached 192 all out, but on a perfect day for batting Wisbech raced to victory with nine wickets and plenty of overs to spare.
Gary Freear continued his rich vein of recent form by finishing unbeaten on 100, while Aussie Jack Hargreaves was undefeated on 71 at the close.
The pair added 184 for the second wicket with Freear facing just 109 balls and striking 13 fours and a six and Hargreaves stroking 12 fours.

Toby Nulty scorched to his maiden Tucker League ton on Saturday – the first local player to do so for six seasons – as March hammered Ufford Park by 114 runs at The Avenue in Division Two. The last ‘non-pro’ to reach three figures was when Shardul Brahmbhatt scored 114 against Abington in 2010.
Nulty came in at No5 and hit 103 off 114 balls and shared in an amazing sixth wicket stand of 159 with Nathan Oliver, who completed his first Saturday half-century with a very fine unbeaten 73. That enabled March to recover from 89-5.
