Flo Tsguiam nets but Wisbech St Mary 'poor' in Thurlow Nunn League loss at Haverhill says boss Kaufman
Wisbech St Mary are six points adrift at the bottom of Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties League first division north after conceding three second half goals in a below par performance at Haverhill.
Substitute Flo Tsguiam netted a consolation goal for Saints at the New Croft after a tight first half.
Manager Alex Kaufman pulled no punches when he said: "We didn't really get started until we actually scored.
"We were slow to everything. We had no grit and no determination.
"It was very poor and there were silly mistakes. There was no fight, or anything at all. It was the complete opposite performance to last week.
"It was just naivety. We didn't win the first or second balls and didn't compete in dangerous areas of the pitch.
"We didn't command the game; we didn't play a simple pass and didn't use the wide men enough.
"We had a couple of chances at 0-0. We know they're always going to punish you at the end when that happens.
"The players know individually that wasn't good enough; so being disappointed is an understatement."
Wisbech St Mary entertain fifth place Sheringham on Saturday.
"As far as I'm aware we've got a full-strength squad," added Kaufman.
Meanwhile, on Monday Saints announced the signing of Joe Woolford (pictured) from ICA Sports.
The club Tweeted: "Joe has a strong footballing background and played in Norway for Sandefjord FC before returning to England because of injury where he played locally since."
