Manea family are kart kings

A family from Manea have dominated Wisbech & District Go Kart club this year.

Uncle and nephew team Sam Harrison and Jack Rolfe finished the season with both being Grasstrack Championship winners and GP winners. Jack also gained second place overall in the 2014 winter series with Sam gaining third.

Jack has been racing since he was 7 and has spent the last three seasons in the 70cc class.

Sam started racing quads at the age of 12 then decided to join Jack in racing Go Karts and has been grasstrack chanpion for the last two years and British Champion in 2013 in the 250cc open class.

Two of Jack’s cousins, brother and sister Ky and Kali Rolfe, also race. Ky in the 125cc junior class and Kali in the 90cc class.

Jack’s dad Martin said: “On race day it’s a real family affair, with looking after Jack (son) Ky and Kali (nephew and niece) and Sam (brother in law).

“I am very proud of how Jack has improved over the last three years and am looking forward to the 2015 series to see all of them out again.”

Currently Sam and Jack are racing the 2015 winter series. Sam is winning the 250cc open and Jack is in second place but has moved up to the 90cc class.
