March AC runner Patterson posts PB

It was a busy weekend for members of March AC, with a variety of races around the country.

Six members of the club took part in the Wymondham 20-mile road race.

Karen Patterson won 1st vet 40 prize and 4th lady overall with a personal best time of 2 hours 24 minutes followed by Geraldine Larham 7th lady overall with 2 hours 27 minutes.

Other times were: Mick Stacey 2 hours 17, Tim Boyd 2 hours 43, Amy Ellis 3 hours 24 minutes and Suzanne Orr 4 hours 17 minutes.

Meanwhile Justin Elvidge travelled to Hull for the 20-mile road race and crossed the line in 2 hours 33 minutes. Chris Lawrence went to Hastings for their half marathon and recorded 1 hour 54 minutes. At Stowmarket Michelle Seward completed the half marathon in 1 hour 59 minutes.

In the Shouldham Cross Country, first home for the club was Lee Carey in a time of 24:37.

Other times: Harry Littlemore 30:26, James Richmond 32:25, Mark Oakerbee 37:41, Pat Brown 64:08. Ladies – Tina Lambert 34:54, Emma Carey 34:56, Maura Brown 64:08. Boys U9 – Matthew Gardner 3:44, Serge Lambert 4:02. U11 – Luke Gardner 9:25. U13 - Liam Lambert 14:16. Girls U9 – Erica Richmond 3:54.

Melissa Neal completed the Thirsk 10-mile race in 61:26 and was 3rd Lady and 2nd in age category.
