March AC athlete and Glebelands Primary school student Luke Gardner continues his successful 2015 running season by adding another under 11 3km title to his collection.

St Ives hosted its annual 10k and 3k races. A fully subscribed field of runners participated in both exhilarating races on Sunday, July 19.

The 3k ‘fun run’ was a highly contested race showing off the vast talent that exists within Cambridgeshire’s youth. Luke finished in a time of 12.59 which was enough to claim his fifth title this year and finish in eighth place overall.

Younger brother Matthew (7), also from March AC, participated in the race finishing fourth in his age category (U9) and taking nearly four minutes off last years’ time.

March AC also gained success in the 10K race with an Age category win for Lavinia Seward (F70) in 1hr 5 adding to her ever growing collection.

Other March AC times were Daniel Barber 45.17, Graeme Robertson 50.02 and Patrick Brown 1hr 07.

* Cavalry Primary school in March won a schools swimming gala with a total of 173 points.

They won 14 out of 20 races, came second in four, and third in the other on Thursday, July 16. The team consists of Year 5/6 students.

Results: 1 Cavalry Primary School, 2 Burrowmoor Primary School, 3 All Saints Primary.
