March Athletic Club members take on Snowdon Marathon
March Athletic Club members took on various running challenges across the UK.
A group of star athletes went to Wales to complete the Snowdon Marathon.
Emma Tuck was first home in the famously-tough race as she ran a course PB of 3:34:58.
Long distance star Ryan Jarvis had a great run as he broke the four-hour mark to finish in 03:47:47 for the scenic course.
Next home for March was Dan Barber in 4:05:39.
Teilo Pearce followed, finishing in just over five hours, a remarkable time especially given his injury setbacks.
Dave Burgess also completed the marathon as he accompanied his friends around the course.
The group's fantastic events saw them finish in 6:45:51.
Elsewhere, runners competed in the Fen 10.
The local race was once again enjoyed by many on a nice day with gusty winds. March AC had 17 runners present and 5 club members volunteering at the water station.
Andy Cole was first through the finish funnel as he earned himself a 10 mile PB of 01:04:40.
Cole's superb performance also saw him place third in his age category.
Kanina O'Neil was second back for March and third lady in the race as she produced another fabulous run earning a time of 1:06:16. Tim Brammer, Michelle Prior and Dean Markillie were next home as the group crossed the line in a cluster.
Bramnerf was first as he finished in 1:08:06 for the 10-mile race.
Prior and Markillie finished six seconds later as the pair performed brilliantly with the former winning her age category.
Karen Patterson was third home for the March ladies team in 01:19:57 to secure March second place in the ladies team prize.
