March Golf Club raise £1,721 for East Anglian Air Ambulance

March Golf Club held its first charity fun day on Saturday and 68 members played golf and over 80 people attended the evening.

The day raised £1,721.67 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA). The EAAA was founded in 2000 and relies on charitable donations for its funding.

Sponsors included Clovelly House, Ben Burgess, March Quality Meats, Artistic Metalica and the golf club’s insurers Circle Golf.

The winner of the mens’ competition was Gary Wiggins with 44 points, beating Mike Lee (42), Tom Cracknell with 41 on count back from Steve Campbell. The ladies winner was Jean Alterton with 36 points, second with 33 was Emma Norman who beat Shona Kent on count back.
