Wimblington hosted March 3rds on Saturday at Parkfield in a rain affected derby reduced to 32 overs.
Batting first, March made 160-8 against a Wimblington side depleted by holidays and weddings. Adam Conyard set the tone with a fine 47, with Josh Watson making 15.
The remainder of the top order offered little resistance until the fireworks began in the form of a hard-hit 49 from Ryan Wright and an unbeaten 31 from Will Curtis.
James Shepherd made that total even tougher for Wimblington with an opening spell of 4-19.
And with Curtis chipping in with 2-23 and a triumphant return for former first team off-spinner Andy Bayes (2-10), it was curtains for the village side, who were bowled out for 95.
It was better news for Wimblington 2nds, though, as they travelled to Willingham 2nds. They bowled their hosts out for 70 and reached the target with four wickets to spare.
Sunday captain Andy Woodard fielded a young side who came up against a strong Chatteris team.
Wimblington managed 119 all out but the Chatteris opening pair of Bailey (56no) and Chapman (54no) reached their target in the 20th over.
