Their achievements underlined the strength and depth of talent developing within the Marlins' ranks.

A week later, rising star Jacob Ure represented Cambridgeshire at the National County Team Championships, a major event in the British swimming calendar held at Sheffield’s Ponds Forge.

Competing against some of the best young swimmers in the country, Ure helped his county team to an outstanding second-place finish, securing promotion to Division Two for next season, a remarkable result for the Cambridgeshire squad.

That same day, several Marlins swimmers took on the gruelling 800m freestyle event at The Hive, Ely.

The long-distance challenge tested both stamina and mental strength, but all athletes rose to the occasion, delivering determined and spirited swims throughout.

Their commitment and effort reflected the club’s strong team ethos and focus on continuous improvement.

It has been a busy and successful few weeks for Marlins Swimming Club, whose members continue to represent both the club and the region with distinction.
