March Marlins swimmers impress at the Swim England Cambridgeshire County Development Meet in Newmarket




Seventeen swimmers represented March Marlins with pride at the Swim England Cambridgeshire County Development Meet held in Newmarket over the weekend.

The young athletes demonstrated impressive effort and determination throughout the event, achieving numerous personal bests and bringing home a collection of medals. Their performances reflected the hard work and dedication put in during training, with several swimmers making significant improvements in their times.

It was a rewarding weekend that highlighted both individual progress and strong team spirit, and the club looks forward to building on this success in future competitions.

Among the highlights were first places for Jamie Beacom in the 200m individual medley, 50m freestyle and 400m freestyle plus Hettie Brewer winning the 200m breaststroke.

Wilson Brewer was second in the 100m butterfly and third in the 200m breaststroke. Nyah Scott was second in the 100m backstroke with Freddie Haylock third in the 100m backstroke. There were also third places for Dylan Haylock in the 50m butterfly and Ben Muffett in the 100m individual medley.
