Wisbech Mark Farnham martial artist Nika Vasiljeva win Girls’ Green Belt Sparring in TAGB Midlands Championships 2020 at Kettering Sports Village

The TAGB Midlands Championships 2020 event was held at Kettering Sports Village and 15 fighting areas ran throughout the day with more than 600 competitors.

The Mark Farnham Schools provided over 50 competitors, who took part in pattern, sparring, team sparring, power pad events and also for the black belts destruction.

The Schools landed a massive total of 48 awards at the championships including 16 first place Midlands Champions.

Wisbech results: Euan White Blue Belt Boys’ Team Sparring 2nd; Jak White Blue Belt Boys’ Team Sparring 2nd & Blue Belt Boys’ Sparring 2nd; Alexandra Mlynek Girls’ Blue Belt Sparring 3rd; Charlotte Beck Girls’ Blue Belt Sparring 2nd; Nika Vasiljeva Girls’ Green Belt Sparring 1st; Maximilian Mlynek Boys’ Yellow Belt Sparring 3rd; George Godfrey Men’s Yellow Belt Sparring 2nd & Team Sparring 2nd.

The students now look forward to the English Championships in March at Coventry, where they have in excess of 1,500 competitors.
