Match is a ‘Massive’ booster
A charity football match was held on Sunday between some of the March Soccer School Coaches and a team of friends from Manea raised £285 for the March Soccer School youngsters to help replace all equipment lost in a recent fire.
Many thanks to Parkfields Social Club and Pop Jolley for the kind use of their facilities and for also organising an Easter raffle with all proceeds going to MSS. A highly entertaining match was played in great spirit. The scoreline was unimportant but the ‘March Massive’ entered the bar victorious.
A charity football match on Sunday between March Soccer School coaches and a team of friends from Manea raised £285 for the Soccer School youngsters, to help replace equipment lost in a recent fire.
The organisers thank Wimblington’s Parkfields Social Club and Pop Jolley for the use of their facilities and for organising an Easter raffle with all proceeds for MSS.
The match was played in great spirit. The scoreline was unimportant – but ‘March Massive’ entered the bar victorious.
MSS chairman Tony Russell thanked all who participated, especially Mark Stevens and the Manea team.
“The support from the community has been overwhelming and is greatly appreciated,” said MSS secretary, Katie Conyard.
