Tydd St Mary 8 Whittlesey Athletic ‘B’ 0
Saints continued their impressive form on Saturday with a demolition of Whittlesey, who turned up with just 10 players.
Tydd started the scoring on 12 minutes when Scott Pemberton knocked back a great ball for Darren Rawthorn to strike home for 1-0. On 27 minutes Tim Lowe made it 2-0, again set up by man of the match Pemberton. It was 3-0 10 minutes later when a Nick Reims corner was flicked on by Rawthorn for Dan Piccaver to glance into the net.
The Saints came out flying in the second half and were 6-0 up within three minutes of the restart. Pemberton set up Lowe, Reims pulled a great ball back to set up Stu Easey and Lowe teed up Pemberton.
Further goals came from Easey and Ian Thrower volleying home his first for the club.
Manager Carl Wilson said: “We are in a good place at the moment but have a tough schedule of matches ahead of us.”
Tydd are away to Ramsey Town next weekend.
