Norwich 1st XV 46pts, Wisbech 1st XV 3pts

Wisbech Rugby Club found it hard going on Saturday, and really have everything to fight for this season to stave off relegation.

The travelling Wisbech side, found things were not clicking this weekend.

And not having the rub of the green for many key decisions could not find a way through a strong Norwich outfit, with Laws adding the only points from a penalty kick.

Acting captain Shane Vickers will look to inspire a turn around, and bring some festive cheer to his troops this weekend at home in the Christmas game against Wynmondham 1st XV, kick off 2.15pm.

Wisbech 2nd XV 17pts, Norwich 2nd XV 17pts

Wisbech held a strong Norwich side to a well earned draw at home in their first game for six weeks on Saturday.

With Wisbech looking to run the ball through the powerful centres and quick wings, and the Norwich fly half happy to kick nearly everything for territory, the stage was set for a clash of styles.

And as the scoreline reflects, both teams carried out their tactics well, both with solid set piece ball and strong defensive efforts.

Wisbech scored through wing Bryan Alabaster, who bagged a brace of very nice tries, and ever rampaging number eight Ramus.

And really it was Wisbech who should have taken the win at Harecroft Road, coming very close at the end with huge pressure and a hard chase to the line from a deftly placed Steven Priest kick behind the full back.

Captain Jim Mitchell will be pleased with a hard fought and deserved result after a long enforced lay-off and will look to play as well this week against Wynmondham away.
