Fenland Running Club’s Richard Betts took on the Brighton Marathon for the second time. He knocked an astonishing 1 hour 3 minutes off his previous PB to finish in 3:15:26. Strong wind prevented him from an automatic ‘good for age’ place in next year’s London Marathon by a tantalising 26 seconds.
Paulina Zub tackled the gruelling Grantham Running Club’s 10K Cup which provided a real tester for the 157 finishers. Zub’s finishing time of 1:0:16 was against her 10K time of 49:03 a week before in Lincoln.
