Two Fenland runners, Jack Trow and Rebecca Cousins, will be representing their counties at the UK Intercounties cross-country in Birmingham at the weekend.

Trow had finished fourth at the Norfolk county championship in January. Rebecca came third in the Cambridgeshire county championship. Both athletes will be televised live on BSKYB.

The rescheduled Nene Valley Harriers 10-mile road race took place on Sunday at Bretton in Peterborough.

Just two members of Fenland Running Club took part but coach Robin Parker finished in a good sub 60 minute time of 59.43 and Trudy Sayell was fourth lady home in 70 minutes.
