The second in the Wisbech Wheelers Tuesday evening TT series showed that the strongest riders are able to overcome most weather conditions.
Mat Webster of Loughborough University was back on form with 20.56 and turned the tables on Andy Bean in 21.02, but both were overshadowed by road racer and veteran, Jason Kierman of St Ives CC, who blasted through a solid headwind on the home leg to register a course record of 20.17.
Another rider in the 40-plus group, Andrew Ward, had an excellent time of 22.37.
In open competition Denese Hallahan continues to race in the medium gear series and her second ride puts her into the lead in the lady vets section.
