Fenland Running Club members at the Ryston Runners AC 6.5K Cross Country race at Shouldham Warren were Rebecca Cousins second Senior Lady in 25.19, Sarah Gauvin third LV35 in 29.27 and Michelle Gilbert ninth Senior Lady in 32.52.
Cousins took 15 seconds off her December time and finished second overall out of the series of six races.
A large turnout of 21 FRC members at the Thorney Running Club 10K race on Sunday accounted for almost 10% of the 226 finishers on a flat but windy out and back course. Eight achieved PBs while Martin Jennings took the 1st MV40 prize. Birthday girl Maire Irlam was 5th lady and took the 1st FV45 prize.

Walpole St Andrew runner Matt Pyatt smashed his PB at Thorney, by finishing second overall in a highly impressive time of 33.55, beating his previous best by 49 seconds.
