Five PBs for club

Fifteen Fenland Running Club members competed in the Nene Valley Harriers 10-mile road race through the housing estates, woods, underpasses and overpasses of Peterborough on Sunday in which there were 309 finishers.

Five members, Ady Martin, Aaron Parker, Lisa Jermey, Ann Trett and John Chapman recorded new PBs to make their day rather special.

l 14 members of March AC took part in the Nene Valley 10. First home for the club with a personal best time was Mick Stacey in 1 hour 07 minutes putting him in 69th place.

l March AC athlete Melissa Neal competed in The Guys 10 mile road race near Preston on Sunday,

The race was run over a flat one loop course but conditions were far from ideal with wind and hailstorms. Melissa still performed well to finish 3rd lady and 1st in her age category vet35 in a time of 63.34.
