The Samurai Shotokan Karate School Black Belt grading took place at The Avaddon Academy in Wisbech and was held in front of a O.S.K.A. UK grading panel.

Eight students undertook the three-hour grading session and were extensively tested by the panel.

Four were successful in passing their tests - just reward over the past 12 months for their dedication in preparing for this event. Ryan Gowler passed his 2nd Dan, while Holly Beresford, Ellen Gowler, and Dee Hughes achieved their 1st Dan.

They have all been training for over 12 years. The four unsuccessful students will be eligible for re-test in six months. Thanks to Chris Ellington at Avaddon Academy for providing the venue.
