Highlight of this running weekend was the fourth Frostbite Friendly League 5-mile race hosted by March AC on Sunday on a really frosted, slippery off-road course with 416 runners.
A massive turnout of 35, the biggest field ever entered by Fenland RC, saw an outstanding result finishing in third place just behind ‘mega-clubs’ of Nene Valley Harriers and Hunts AC to leave Fenland seventh overall after four races.

Twelve members completed the festive Ely Runners 10k on New Year’s Eve in a huge field of 553. With winds gusting at up to 45 mph, all 12 FRC members ran superbly.
Martin Jennings flew round in under 39 minutes to finish fifth in the MV40 category and 32nd overall. Newcomers Mark Millinson and Nicky Jennings were also outstanding.

FRC members met the challenge of the Nicetri Events Waterside 5 which is a five-mile out and back course along the north side of Grafham Water.
High winds and some severe uphill sections towards the end took their toll on all runners. First home for Fenland was Tim Chapman.
