North Witchford Darts League Division One leaders GER ‘B’ put in a very solid performance to progress to the Knock Out Cup semi-finals.
They beat the GER Souls 7-5, but it was far more comfortable than the score line suggests as they led 5-1 and 7-3. They amassed 43 ton plusses.
Roy Wojtowych recorded 12 tons; Mick Wyles and Vinnie Edwards 11 tons apiece and Clint Mason hit 9. Best reply from the GER Souls came from Mark Cross, who recorded 9 ton plusses.
Alan Cowdry was in outstanding form as Sportsman A beat Sportsman B 8-4. Alan included a maximum 180 and finishes of 111,110 and 108 in 9 ton plusses and team mate Dave Beacher included a maximum 180 in 10 ton plusses. Best ton scorers for the Sporty B were Dan Beaney and Steve Jevon who hit 7 tons apiece.
The Cock Inn had a comfortable 9-3 win over the GER Posh Canaries. Nigel Hinde hit 10 tons; Brian Jones included a 160 away in 8 tons and Jock Paton hit a maximum 180 for the Cock.
Darryl Martin recorded 9 ton plusses for the GER side.
Sportsman D make up the last four. In a low scoring encounter with The Crown at the end of the 12 games it was 6-6 and the Sportsman D won the 1001 leg to claim their semi-final place.
