Chatteris boxing sensation Jordan Gill’s third professional fight scheduled for this Saturday in Norwich has been called off.
The 18-year-old will now fight on another top bill featuring James DeGale, Kid Galahad and Chris Eubank in Hull on December 8.
Gill said: “I was really looking forward to Norwich and had been training really hard. It is disappointing but these changes happen in boxing.
“Then again I have got another top line show to look forward to in Hull and how many 18-year-olds have the opportunities to have their first three pro fights on massive shows like this.
“I had 100 people wanting tickets for Norwich and a coach booked, so I hope they will come to Hull instead.
“The show is on Channel 5 and is sure to attract another big crowd so it will be a good chance to try and attract some more pubilcity.”
Gill’s two appearances in the ring, since he turned professional back in July, have produced comprehensive wins against Kristian Light and Dan Naylor and he has won every round in the process.
Tickets for the Hull show are £30 and are available by calling Paul Gill on 01354 695211.
