Senior girls’ hockey teams at Wisbech Grammar School have secured a brace of wins against Kimbolton.
An early goal from Laura Temple helped the 1st XI to settle into the play, with Joanna Hutler, Bridey de Jong-Daly and Olivia O’Connor offering good attacking midfield options. A further goal from Temple and another from Emily Wood enabled the school to finish as comfortable 3-0 winners.
The 2nd XI, also playing at home, produced its best performance of the season, seeing off strong opposition, with a well worked team goal scored by Emily Brown.
Head of hockey Mark Jarvis said: “The squads have now settled into their season, with both teams showing good levels of effort and endeavour.
“Each side displayed real winning spirit against strong opposition.”
