Huntingdon Racecourse is offering an afternoon of exciting jump racing and free family entertainment on Sunday (October 6).

The fun comes courtesy of estate agents Thomas Morris with funds being raised on the day for Magpas, the emergency medical charity.

Among an array of entertainment being lined up is Pulsar Laser Quest, a treasure hunt with valuable prizes to be won, a bungee run, a large bouncy castle, mini Shetland ponies and a children’s quiz.

Accompanied children under 18 are given free admission, while discounted adult tickets (£10 instead of the on-the-day price of £15) are on offer for purchasers who quote ‘Tenner’ either online at or on the ticket hotline on 0844 579 3007.

All young pirates and princesses are being invited to take part in best dressed competitions. Templates to decorate and design for wearing on the day can be downloaded from the racecourse’s website.

General manager Nadia Gollings said: “Our Sunday meeting in October is popular for families. It’s a splendid chance for them to enjoy an affordable day out at the races. We’re laying lots of entertainment and, as always, accompanied kids go free.”

For those spectators wishing to make their visit to the races extra special, private hospitality suites are on offer for £60 per adult (£30 per child). Bookings can be made on 01480 453373 and conditions apply.

Sunday: Scheduled first race time is 2.10pm. Gates open shortly after midday. Parking is free.
