It has been a busy few weeks for Upwell racing driver Jake Giddings as he continues to race around Europe in different racing series.
The 19-year-old was in action at Snetterton in the Renault Clio cup UK and also the Ginetta GT5 challenge at Brands Hatch and Spa. A blown engine in qualifying led to a race against time for the Finesse Motor sport team to replace his engine in time for the first race.
Giddings battled bravely up the 24 car field to post results of 14th and 15th in the highly competitive championship, after being one of the fastest drivers on the official testing day.
After a trip to Spa Francorchamps in Belgium and taking a second place finish in the Ginetta GT5 challenge Giddings used his rear wheel drive experience to good effect, taking another two second places at Brands Hatch on the grand prix circuit driving west Midlands-based team Total Control Racing’s Ginetta G40.
